What are the material requirements for cold storage shelves?

The design of cold storage shelves is similar to that of general storage shelves, but since ordinary warehouses have no special requirements for design and production, cold storage has certain requirements for materials and anti-rust coatings, which is also the biggest difference between design and ordinary warehouse shelves place.

The shelves of cold storage generally use high-rise shelves, which are so-called three-dimensional shelves. The temperature of the cold storage is generally below minus 16°, so the thermal insulation performance of the warehouse and the rationality of the shelf design are very critical. The former can reduce electricity costs, and the latter can reduce costs in terms of increasing storage space and improving the efficiency of inventory entry and exit.

In terms of material selection for cold storage shelves, although Q235 is also possible, it is best to choose materials with low stress and good toughness, as close as possible to the theoretical performance of Q235. In terms of surface treatment of the shelf, double protection, anti-rust layer and freezing layer are required. There are special plastic powders for this aspect in the industry, as long as the quality is good.
