How efficient is the intelligent gravity rack?

Intelligent gravity rack, also known as gravity racks, roller racks or self-sliding racks, are becoming the preferred solution for high-density warehousing due to their extremely high space utilization and automated picking efficiency. How efficient is the intelligent gravity rack? Let's find out below.
Gravity shelves adopt a "first-in, first-Out" (FIFO) rolling design. Goods automatically slide towards the picking end by gravity, eliminating the need for frequent handling. That is to say, by taking advantage of the self-weight of the goods, they can automatically slide to the picking opening, significantly reducing the walking time. Therefore, its semi-intelligent effect cannot be compared with the efficiency of fully automatic high-rise warehouse shelves, but its operation efficiency is indeed higher than that of warehouse shelves where goods are stored and retrieved purely by manual labor or forklifts.
Due to the reduction in the frequency of manual handling and forklift operations, intelligent gravity shelves can significantly lower the reliance on human labor. It only requires one access channel, has a high storage density, and is suitable for goods with a single SKU but large batch sizes (such as beverages, food, and fast-moving consumer goods). The storage capacity in a single area can reach three times that of ordinary shelves. If your warehouse is confronted with problems such as insufficient space, slow picking, and high labor costs, gravity shelves are the preferred choice.
