How does the pallet shuttle system store and pick up goods?
Return
The pallet shuttle system is a trolley that transports pallets on track. It runs on a fixed track in a reciprocating or looping manner, and transports the goods to a designated location. It can move into the aisle in a high-density automated storage environment. Under the control of the interactive wireless remote control, the shuttle car can carry out loading and unloading operations and send pallets into the drive-in aisle. Driven by traditional forklift trucks, it operates in each roadway according to FIFO (First In First Out) and LIFO (Last In First Out) operation steps. It is mainly suitable for the storage of goods in large quantities and few varieties, especially for industries with relatively single categories such as food, beverages, and tobacco. So, how does the shuttle work?
1. Storage: Use a forklift to put the shuttle on the shelf lane, and put the cargo pallet on the guide rail. Use the remote control to move the shuttle to the designated location on the roadway for storage.
2. Pick up: use a forklift to place the shuttle to the front of the shelf, move it along the shelf to the designated pallet position, and then lift the pallet back to the original position.
3. Continuous pick-up: Set the control system to continuous pick-up, and the shuttle can perform continuous pick-up operations.
4. Pallet tally: The pallets of goods can be automatically placed in order to fill the remaining space (warehouse shelves).
5. Inventory inventory: The number of pallets on one or more shelves can be counted.
